But, for the Chinese, it’s also the time to celebrate a little Chinese tradition called Chinese New years cocktails.

The cocktails are made with traditional Chinese herbs, spirits, and other ingredients, but also with a bit of alcohol and spices to bring out the flavors.
For this reason, they’re usually served at night, with the cocktail being served at around 8 p.m. and the party starting at midnight.

You’ll find that most Chinese Newyans cocktails have a bit more than a couple of ingredients, such as ginger ale, vodka, or wine.
