The series, starring Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton, debuted at No. 2 with its 10-week opening, and the show also led the week of May 16-19, according to Billboard.
The first season of the show, featuring Miley, premiered in May 2016 and garnered critical acclaim.
The second season, featuring Blake, premiered on June 25, 2017.
The network also added the second season to its streaming service, MTV Now.
Billboard reported that the season premiere drew a 5.2 rating among adults 18-49, ranking it as the highest-rated debut of the year.
The show’s audience also was highly engaged, drawing an audience of more than 3.5 million in its first week.
“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” said Kitten.
“I can’t say I’ve seen anything quite like it.”
The series is produced by Mimi Ory, who also wrote the music for the series.
The original Kitten stars Miley and Blake as two young girls who are living in a cat house with their cat, Mandy.
The two have no idea that they’re actually the cat house’s resident cat, but Mandy is determined to keep the two of them apart.
“The cat house is our home,” said Mandy, explaining that she and her parents are worried that their cat will get into trouble because he is the house’s only resident.
“They’re very strict.
There’s no privacy, no pets allowed, so the cat always knows where you are.”
The series is a reimagining of the classic 1970s sitcom Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, with Miley as the house cat and Blake and Mandy as the kids, who are separated by a wall.
The cast also includes Amy Poehler, James Corden, and Chris Diamantopoulos.
The ratings for the second series are based on a total of 18.1 million viewers tuning in, with an average rating of 3.3, the highest in the series’ history, according the Hollywood Reporter.
“Kitten’s paradise” is also the first network series to surpass 10 million viewers in a week.
The season premiere, featuring an extended musical number, was the highest rated in series history among adults 25-54, according Toonami.
Miley Cyrus is joined in the season 2 cast by Mandy Cyrus and Adam Levine.
